About

Dr. Kevin Keating earned his DDS from Loyola University’s College of Dental Surgery. Following graduation, Dr. Keating received dual appointments to teach in the department of Endodontics and the department of Oral Diagnosis and Treatment Planning at Loyola. He later earned his Master of Science degree from Marquette University as a result of his studies on bone healing following surgical intervention while also obtaining his certificate of Completion of Residency Training in Endodontics. Following the completion of his Residency. Dr. Keating practiced Endodontics in the Sacramento region and served as the managing partner of a multispecialty group practice. He continued to be involved in education, teaching both pre-doctorate students and Endodontic Residents at UC San Francisco School of Dentistry for 38 years. He has achieved the rank of Clinical Professor and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Keating has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. In addition to his clinical and academic interests, Dr. Keating has been active in leadership as an officer or board member of oral health care organizations and foundations at the local, state and national level. In his roles on these professional organizations, his focus has been to improve oral health care access and delivery to all segments of the population and improving the quality of health care education. He also has served on the Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee of The Dentists Insurance Company, which provides professional liability, property, and employment practices liability insurance policies in 26 states. In addition, Dr. Keating has served as an executive committee member and board member for a start-up dental supply company, The Dentist Supply Company, which now offers dental supplies to dentists in 48 states. He brings a wealth of leadership, clinical, and educational experience to his role as Dean of the CNU College of Dental Medicine.
